The Internal Toroidal Tank is installed in the wheelbase of the vehicle when retrofitting an LPG system. The Internal Toroidal Tank is fixed to the under-body of the vehicle with screws and a counter plate.

An approximately 50mm hole is cut into the under-body of the vehicle and filled with a plastic tube. The plastic tube or venting connector serves as a ventilation hole in the event of a gas leak, as well as an opening for supply and discharge pipes which are connected to the multivalve. The multivalve is built into the inner base at an installation angle of 30° or 37° in the opening of the toroidal internal tank.

After proper installation, the inner base of the toroidal internal tank is closed with an air- and gas-tight cover. This cover prevents the escape of gas fuel into the vehicle interior.

Multivalves for toroidal internal tanks are marked with the abbreviation “H.” or “h.” plus a 3-digit number in the product designation. The abbreviation “H” stands for height and the 3-digit number for the height of the toroidal internal tank in millimetres. The 30° ending sets the installation angle of the multivalve. Multivalves with an “H” for height and the 30 ° ending are intended for toroidal internal tanks.
