Composite Gas Cylinders

Composite gas cylinders are among the most innovative fuel gas cylinders available on the market. They are lighter and easier to handle than older models made of aluminium or steel.

The robust plastic housing does not have to be repainted and is easy to clean.
This material, known as composite, meets all the necessary standards and is also used, among other things, in the automotive industry for compressed natural gas (CNG) tanks.

Composite gas cylinders are available in the following variants.

1. Composite gas cylinder 24.5 litres with 80% multivalve

The valve and cylinder are manufactured in Europe and they meet all the necessary approvals for the use as stationary or portable cylinders.
The pressure regulator or connected high-pressure hose can remain connected during the refuelling. The refuelling is carried out via a separate connection through the multivalve/safety valve.
In addition to the integrated filling level indicator on the multivalve, the filling level can be read on the gas cylinder itself via a display scale. As an option, it is also possible to retrofit a remote indicator, for example for the vehicle cockpit.

2. Composite gas cylinder 24.5 litres including 80% Overfill Protection Device (OPD)

The simpler version with an 80% filling stop OPD valve does not have an integrated tank display and does not allow the retrofitting of a remote display. However, the filling level can be read on the display scale on the outside of the cylinder.
The filling and the extraction are carried out through the same valve opening. Therefore, the pressure regulator or high-pressure hose must be unscrewed during filling.

3. Composite gas cylinder 24.5 litres with industrial valve

The composite gas cylinder with industrial valve does not have an 80% filling stop valve and is therefore not suitable for independent refuelling in fixed installations.
Filling may only be carried out at an official filling system by authorised specialised personnel.
